‘Twas the Night Before Christmas-
This year we traveled on a 4 hour flight to visit my parents in Ohio. We took a late night flight and ended up with a delay which made us land at 2am! This was our first late night flight with the girls. The kids were awake the entire time and so excited to see their Grandma at the airport. We got them to my parents home and nestled into bed. The next day we relaxed and played on the farm and sticking with tradition my mom made her classic Wedding Soup and the girls got ready for bed early. We all put on our Christmas Jammies. This was our 6th year wearing matching holiday pajamas. The girls made Santa’s Cookie Tray with my dad. They made sure to leave a healthy snack for the reindeer. My father has always read The Night Before Christmas to us ever since I was a little girl. He stuck to the tradition and read it to the girls too. I tucked the girls into bed and sang them Silent Night. They were sound asleep within 5 minutes! Ian and I stayed up late wrapping presents. We even took a late night walk through the farm and it started snowing. They were up bright and early and ripped through their presents. For Christmas “Santa” got the girls lots of small gifts that are easy to travel with. We spent our day with family and enjoyed a home cooked dinner by my mom and aunt.
We hope you and your family had a magical Christmas!
