Finding the perfect holiday party looks can sometimes be no easy task. From family events, to girls nights out, I have put together a few of my favorite looks to hopefully give you a little inspiration.
Family Holiday Party Looks
I feel like the first step to dressing for a family holiday party is to keep it classy. I would never suggest something short. If you plan on being with your children keep your look to the knee or below it so that you can easy get down at your children’s level without everyone seeing up your dress at a holiday party. As a mother we all know how often we have to bend down to their level. Work with your own personal style and add some classic pieces. There is plenty of sparkle around at Christmas so let your personality shine through with a classy touch, like a scarf or wrap belt if you want to add sparkle. My second tip is to coordinate. Ian and I have been coordinating for parties and events before we had children so adding them in to our matching outfits is easy. If your children love sparkles I suggest using the base color of their dresses and coordinating with the tone. For our family holiday party I matched the girls with our tulle skirts ( by Bliss Tulle) and pearls. I love a good black body suit. You can see it is pictured here. You can wear it with any skirt to your favorite pair of jeans. The one I am wearing here is from Alice and Olivia.
For our family holiday photo I added a pop of color to the girls with beautiful red dresses from Fab Kids. Ian and I continued to coordinate in our black and white.
Date Nights, Events and Girls Night Out Holiday Party-
Fun and flirty is always the way to go for holiday party looks. In my first look below I was headed out to a girls night event and wanted to be comfortable and sleek. I used a gold skirt from Zara and paired it with a shear top and little black booties. Another easy go to look is a great slip dress. Both pictures are from actual events that Ian and I were at. The first is a red slip dress from JustFab and the second is a black velvet slip dress from Rebecca Minkoff. They both have a very flattering fit and classy length for social events and holiday dinners, and are still sexy with the straps. A fun look could be laying a shear top under the slip dress!
Throughout the month I will be adding more of my holiday looks! Keep following and we hope you have some fun holiday parties to attend!
