While living in Youngstown, Ohio I met an amazing Italian woman. She taught me the art of cooking for a large group of people and enjoying Sunday night dinners with family and friends around you. The smell of garlic was always in the air and red wine was always pouring. Her home was always full of love and laughter. She inspired me in so many ways. Years after I left Ohio, she shared with me her delicious Meatball recipe. Although I may not do it much justice, my daughter Mia fell in love with it and has dedicated a night every couple of weeks to making what she now calls “Mia’s Meatballs” for the family.
