On our first weekday off of school I took the girls on a magical adventure. We took a trip up the 5 freeway and landed at the Discovery Cube. To be honest we have never been to the Discovery Cube before. It was such an easy drive from Hollywood! It was perfect. We got there right when the doors opened and we didn’t know what to expect, except for tons and tons of snow! Upon entering the Discovery Cube we were greeted by the friendliest Santa. The girls quickly told them what they “needed” for Christmas than ran off to the Winter fun! We dressed completely inappropriate for a California winter of course. I had them in their best North Face gear in the 70 degree weather. They quickly peeled off their layers and hit the snow. There were 4 different snow ride options and they couldn’t do any of them just once. They also had a blast covering each other with snow in the play area!
We headed in from the cold to enjoy more of the Winter Wonderfest. They had a Gingerbread Exhibit, which I had to remind the girls a handful of times not to touch and a cookie decorating station which they got their fill of plenty of sweets!
After they had enough of the cold we spent the day inside the Discovery Cube. We were actually there all day exploring. They went to every exhibit that was there and had a blast. The Discovery Cube is definitly on our top places to visit with little ones in Los Angeles now. The Winter Wonderfest is so much fun! I recommend gloves and pants that don’t absorb snow. You can probably leave the winter coat at home for this one!
